Will Froome be blocked from the Tour de France?  Race organzier ASO is pledging that they will not let Chris Froome start this year’s event, due to his on-going doping investigation. According to the Tour rules, ASO may  “refuse the participation in – or disqualify from – the event, a team or one of its members whose presence is liable to damage the image or reputation of ASO or those of the event.”  link1   link2    link3

An American chooses the hallowed grounds of Belgium for his training.  Logan Owen has eschewed the training locations of his fellow American riders. “Having a family that lets me stay at their place, it feels like home just with that. And then the weather and the rain is very similar to where I live at home in Washington. It’s maybe a little bit hillier at home, but I get pretty good access to hills going to Celles or Oudenaarde. I like it.”  link 

Whether you love ’em or hate ’em, ebike are getting people out of their cars, and that’s great. A new study by the National Institute for Transportation and Communities says that the growth of e-bikes is leading to more people riding and fewer people in cars. People tend to use their ebikes for more utilitarian purposes.   link1    link2
